True elston. Elvis is just stole black music at a time where racism was horribly socially acceptable in some areas of the country and profitted of it. The Beatles are not only actual musicians but fantastic ones. _________________ "The future is unwritten."

Few people have had as much charisma as Elvis, but as Eminem put it in "Without Me", a lot of his success had to do with catering to a generally racist America, who didn't want to accept the black artists. His influence on popular music, however, is incalculable. Even the Beatles themselves took a few pages out of his book! Their main difference is that the Beatles were true musical geniuses and Elvis couldn't play more than a G chord ๐คฃ The Beatles moved on from their "Love Me Do" days and wrote some of the best music of all time. The Beatles win by a landslide.
Beatles by a longshot. They had more real influence, and I find their music, on the whole, much more enjoyable. _________________ "I'm so ugly but that's OK cause so are you"
All fine musicians. Johnson died in 38 and only years later recognized for his contributions. Waters was also a great blues man but again not well recognized until 1958 in England and 1960 in US. Berry is still around and certainly influenced The Beatles, who covered his songs. But Elvis P brought to white America an appreciation for black music and made Rock and Roll popular in the face of much resistance from the industry and churches. Without EP's commercial success I am not sure if even The Beatles would have been successful, at least in the US and we would still be listening to crooners and instrumentalists. Of course, this is only conjecture. _________________ Top 100 Greatest Music Albums by RFNAPLES Bubbling Under The Top 100 Greatest Music Albums, Part 1 by RFNAPLES
