Looking at the big board, there seems to be two clearly segregated tiers when it comes to Beck albums, so I wanted to see if the same holds true if I were to hold a poll.
What is your favorite Beck album, and list your reason why or power rank them all if you want.
For me it's between Sea Change, Odelay, and Mellow Gold, with a slight edge going to Sea Change. Depends on what kind of mood I'm in though they couldn't be more different.
I'm going for the classic - Odelay. After a re-listen yesterday I am in no doubt that it is a masterpiece. But his stretch from Mellow Gold from to even probably Guero is such an immaculate run.
But you didn't include Golden Feelings, Stereopathic Soulmanure or One Foot In The Grave? those first two are some of the hardest albums I've ever had to get through 🧱
Odelay and Midnight Vultures are tied for me... but I went with Midnight Vultures, just to be different. _________________ A dick that's bigger than the sun.
Odelay! Obviously 🧱 Then Midnight Vultures, Sea Change, Mutations, Modern Guilt, Gurero and The Infomation. And they are all fantastic. if I re-evaluated my favourite artists he would probably be 3-5
