Jeff Buckley's version of Hallelujah is better than anything Mangum ever did, and he didn't even write the song.

Well Jeff Mangum is my favorite singer/songwriter of all time, his lyrics just mean so much to me on a personal level.

This is by no means a personal attack, but the reason I feel distanced from Jeff Mangum's lyrics is because so many people say just this.

Yea I can see that, I'm just speaking for myself. Also I first heard itaots before I was on any sort of Internet music forum, I had no idea it was so critically acclaimed as it is.
