Hey! Let's talk about anything related to R.E.M.
I'm not their fan, but I know some bands(for instance radiohead) respect them.
I just wonder why you love them or hate them
and if you love them, what's the reason and what's your favourite album?

I thought we already had a thread for this.

Anyway, R.E.M. are in my top 5 favourite bands. My favourite album is Reckoning.

They went on a downward spiral from 'Up' onwards but every album before that was excellent. 'Automatic For The People' has the hit songs and tends to get the most love but you could make a case for most of their albums being the best. I grew up with 'Automatic For The People' so it charts highest on my list but 'Murmur' is not far behind.

Need to still add some R.E.M. to my chart, obviously AftP will make it on there somewhere, but I think Document's probably their best.

Seriously, am I the only person who thinks Reckoning is the best R.E.M. album?

Possibly...
Automatic For The People for me, the majority of their albums are quite good however, they're quite a consistent band, even the less popular albums, such as Monster, are pretty cool in my opinion.

Neither love them or hate them, but I only like a few songs. Mostly their songs are a bit too drone-like to me (not genre wise, just feel wise), I wish they had more changes within them.

The faster songs are better.
