Absolutely marvelous. Along with Talking Heads, Costello was IMO the most consistent new wave artist (as far as I know, though). Although I'm not at all a fan of Get Happy!!, everything he did from his debut to Trust (I still haven't listened to the rest, and yes lethal, I know I have to listen to Imperial Bedroom, but it's the next on my list  ) is incredible. Though my favorite is My Aim Is True, this might be second, maybe on par with Armed Forces. No Action, The Beat, Hand In Hand and Living In Paradise would be my highlights.

If you want to listen to your first Costello LP, go for this one, it's his best.

Elvis Costello has always been very hit-or-miss for me, but this is a very strong album. I think I slightly prefer Armed Forces, though.
