Damn! It's another match up where I haven't heard the entirety of one (Brown Sugar) but really like the other. I won't vote. Something tells me of I listen to Brown Sugar it will be right up my alley these days . Ill

D'angelo's alright, not the worst artist I've seen in this tournament, but I'm not a huge fan of this album. It's good, just nothing special. I love Hot Fuss, though. This one goes to The Killers. _________________
Hot Fuss just sounds like fairly generic 00's Pop rock, with a couple enjoyable tracks. Brown Sugar, on the other hand, was just a joy to listen to, such a fantastic album. Easy vote.
Brown Sugar, D'Angelo albums in general, might take a few listens to get into because it might take some time to differentiate tracks across the album, kind of like how some people might view some Dirty Three or Low albums or sth. Anyways, I obviously think the album is great. It's a subgenre-defining album, and launched neosoul onto the charts, and frankly it's the sexiest album since Midnight Love upon it's release (some Kim Deal might compete).
As a side note, this motherfucker needs to get his shit together, been an addict of some variety since Voodoo and apparently is falling back; cancelled a weeks worth of shows earlier and the festival I was supposed to see him at. So bummed.
