Let's migrate this off an_outlaw's post. What type are y'all? Do you think it fits you?

Do you believe in this system of ranking people?

I'm curious for thoughts.

For starters, I'm an INFP, which I think suits me like a glove. I buy this system entirely.

Also INFP, which I think fits me pretty well. I like the system but I don't totally buy into it. I like to ask people what personality type they get though, I find it interesting.

Also <3 Sweden.

I'm an INFJ, which is the rarest type. Yes it fits me entirely.

I like the system, but I think I should know more about psychology in general to understand it better. But what I have already read about the types is very interesting.

INTJ. I recall there was another thread on this. I'll try to find it.

Found it.

I'm a fairly moderate INFJ.

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
You have distinctive preference of Intuition over Sensing (75%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have marginal or no preference of Judging over Perceiving (1%)

I've done a bit of reading and that usually fits quite well as my personality. I've read somewhere though that INFJ's are bad with money, and whilst I'm far from being the best with my spending, I'm certainly no impulse buyer.

I'm a little concerned that some of these articles that tell you about your Briggs type aren't much different to things like astrology, where you subconsciously place yourself with what they've written, when really we're all completely different.

Equal parts INTP and INFP (based on the link in the other thread). I like to think and philosophize, but I'm also very emotional.

As am I. Great minds think alike.

but while Myers Briggs does provide some perspective, its still a very broad perspective into very complicated minds.

INFJ
Introvert(44%) iNtuitive(50%) Feeling(25%) Judging(22%)

You have moderate preference of Introversion over Extraversion (44%)
You have moderate preference of Intuition over Sensing (50%)
You have moderate preference of Feeling over Thinking (25%)
You have slight preference of Judging over Perceiving (22%)

I think that fits me for the most part. I know this is the sort of thing I've probably taken a million times in the past, and I just can't remember what I usually get. I wonder if it's consistent. Interesting, anyway.

Here's a paragraph from one of the links that I thought was spot on for me:

Quote:
Understanding, exploring, mastering, and manipulating systems can overtake the INTP's conscious thought. This fascination for logical wholes and their inner workings is often expressed in a detachment from the environment, a concentration where time is forgotten and extraneous stimuli are held at bay. Accomplishing a task or goal with this knowledge is secondary.

I'm sure these categorizations are very rough, but it's interesting anyway... like an attempt at principal component analysis for brains.
