I love bagpipes but it seems most people don't. I just wanna know the results to the poll, see if BEAers love it or hate it. So please vote and state your love or hatred for this instrument. btw, don't mention AC/DC (or worse Korn).

I very very rarely like bagpipes. I feel pretty similarly about harmonica. Those tones are just grating. And yet i do generally like the accordion and harmonion

As for me, I like them when they play traditional music that is fit for the instrument. When I hear them on pop or rock albums they can be okay and add something to the album, or they can be shit. When I was 10, I thought Korn's use of them was badass! But I was 10...
And I'm having a hard time remembering many examples of other artists using them, but I know I've heard many. I kinda (but not really) like the way the White Stripes put 'em to use on that one track on "Icky Thump". I forget the name of it, I know it was a cover.
Also doesn't Godspeed use them in some of their music?
Anyway, I'm about 35% like 'em
