The album that came before Revolver is called Rubber Soul. You should hear it, it's better than Magical Mystery Tour! |
It's NOT better than MMT!!!!
But it is a good album.

The unpolished sound of ¨The Beatles¨ is great and fits the album perfectly, but the opposite is definitely not a bad thing!
I connect "magical" with wind chimes, a lot of strings, choir/harmonies and generally a polished sound, but that is just how I see it (or hear it)! |
Not as much as some others, yes. I think Pet Sounds is brilliant and it's in my top 200 albums of all time. As I said before, it is a minor thing, and it's not that I don't like those harmonies, but I don't love them as some others do.
For somebody who thought The Beatles was the best thing they've ever made, yes it is sorta a bad thing.
Well, our taste is a bit different, that's for sure.

Well, at least I don't find it much better than MMT, and I don't know why exactly I prefer Rubber Soul. Maybe it has something to do with the memories I connect with it?

Even if "The Beatles" is your favorite album, it doesn't necessarily mean that a polished sound is a bad thing. But as you said, our taste is a bit different, no doubt about that!
