Good album. That's all I'm going to say, to prevent myself from spouting some nonsense about how overrated this album is.
Oops.
75/100

They had other albums? In that case I would like to hear them as I enjoyed this one a lot!

Yes. They had 8 albums actually. And a whole bunch of side projects.
After Bathing at Baxter's & Volunteers are the only other albums I've heard by them, and I like them both quite a bit.
Can't believe that this is the band that would one day bring us 'We built this city on rock and roll' _________________ Submit Your List for BEA's 2023 Film Poll!

of course.
'JA Takes off' from 1966 is a nice folk-psych rock album, the only non-Slick/pre-Slick album.
Surrealistic Pillow is the second studio album.
'After Bathing at Baxter's' is also an 1967-release studio album, but a far different one from the others, this is the king of all the acid albums.
'A Crown of creation' from 1968 is more folkish but it is also a good album.
'Volunteers' from 1969 is their second most successfull abum, I really like this one. Especially Slick's songs. It was the last album with the successfull line-up (Slick, Balin, Kantner, Kaukonen, Casady and Dryden)
'Bark' from 1971 is a good album with some really weird tracks but I like it a lot.
I don't know much about their last album, 'Long John Silver' released in 1972, the only album I haven't listened it yet.
If you want to listen to more JA albums I recommend Baxter's, Crown of Creation and Volunteers.
