I love that color you used there! Since the album is called "Debut" it is also her first album. Wikipedia is lying!

Go to RYM or Google. And if a band called their 6th album "Debut", would that make it their first album?

Yeah I've seen that on wikipedia too, thejoj. I don't know anything about it, but I suspect she didn't have any creative control over the '77 record. I'm not really sure if she embraces it as part of her catalog and I would imagine it is long out of print in the US if it was ever available here. As a result I just consider this her first record.

Yes, exactly! If that band after the album called "Debut", released another album called "Debut" it would make it their 2nd first album.

Me too. I haven't heard her '77 record, but I can't imagine that it has anything artistic in common with her 90's onwards career, besides her voice maybe!

Why? It's simple logic! If you call your 3rd child for "Debut", it will also be your first child!

""debut" was very much for me like a virgin trying to express herself, i mean a virgin musically. and that's why i named it "debut". and people who knew i had been around for many years just thought i was taking a piss or something. but for me it was very much like the songs i had kept in darkness and locked in my little diary, only to be seen by myself. the first time they were out on there own and had to figure out how to survive their own way." - Björk

This is kinda funny, I just convinced my girlfriend to buy this album. I still don't have it myself, though Sad A great album, but I slightly prefer Homogenic.
