Thinking of the post-punk one more and more. I am leaning towards the album needing to be listed as post-punk on either Wikipedia or RYM (I use RYM a fair bit for collection/research/info). Still concerned over Unknown Pleasures winning before the race is run.
Then post-punk AND new wave tourney: I'd take Remain in Light over any post-punk album ever.

Okay Imma satrt the tournament anyway and if I don't have internet for a couple of months then some kind and willing individual (we have so many here on BEA ) I'm sure can take over from me.

With inspiration from this thread it could actually be interesting to have a tournament with best artist/album (most enthusiastic about artists myself) from outside the major countries. Right now there's no haste with greatest rapper and best year going on, but it is a possibility for the future. If people are positive towards the idea, I could possibly organize it as I like to work with boring statistics and systematics.
