The whole "West London Folk Scene" has some amazing artists. I found them through Mumford & Sons, and they're all fantastic. The best are probably:

Laura Marling
Pete Roe
Mystery Jets
Johnny Flynn
Noah and the Whale

If you like folk-ish music at all, check them out.

Digging a little deeper into the hardcore bands that I don't know yet, I've just found Death Church by Rudimentary Peni to be completely satisfactory, and I intend to listen to their other releases. Great LP, hardcore guys.
