...and the reverse is true. Some people reject popular music because they're supposed to. I hope most judge music by how it makes them feel, not whether it's popular, or whether they need to ensure their elite image.
I like Thriller. It's refined to the point of sterility, but it's got perfect danceable hooks and beats. It is pop music. _________________ Finnegan was super bad-ass.
I actually enjoy it. It's some of the best straight up dance pop around. Also, look at the chord progressions of different Michael Jackson songs. They are actually quite good.
Not as good as Off The Wall, but better than Bad. And just because something's refined doesn't necessarily mean it's soulless. I rarely ever listen to MJ these days (mainly due to oversaturation), but this album is pretty fucking good.
