Pros(add to the list as you see necessary): May increase database by a ton, people who listen to primarily singles will be more active
Cons: time consuming for albumaster/others who have to do stuff along the lines this, will take away focus from albums which is what this website is about, might attract the "unwanted"

yah, and it's #38 overall right now, which is crazy considering how more votes lead to a higher rating (as it's so new)

It's slowly going down in ratings. it was 88 before and now it's 87. it doesn't matter to me either way, but personally, I don't like the album you guys are referring to.

Maybe users could do their top 5 or top 10 songs.
This would keep the focus of the website on albums but would be a nice extra for users and give an interesting insight to other members

As an extra point, there are plenty of artists who have amazing singles, but terrible/no albums/unknown albums or albums that are ignored because of the singles and therefore aren't in the database. Perhaps there doesn't need to be a best ever singles, but an option to add singles to the database?

not ruling out anything, and maybe at some point singles (in some sort of guise) could be added, but it's quite a big change and not something that would happen straight away.
