Fresh Tendrils - Arguably the best song on the album. Very haunting lyrics and powerful transitions, particularly between the chorus and the verse.
4th of July - One of the trippiest grunge tunes every recorded. Beautifully deliberate in its pace, outstanding harmonies throughout.
Half - Not one of the better songs on the album, but a very important one. I think it leads into the finale quite brilliantly.
Like Suicide - One of, if not the single greatest album closer of all time. The dynamic work in this song is mind-blowing, and in my opinion no other song outside of the progressive rock genre has managed to last 7 minutes and sound even half as engaging throughout as this song does. A true masterpiece.

Don't get me wrong, I can agree with the sentiment. I personally liked Badmotorfinger more the first time I heard it, though I've since come around, and I have a handful of 70 minutes albums that I think are brilliant that I just can't sit through due to their length (BSSM being the main offender here), but the last few tracks on Superunknown are not the ones to be cut, if you ask me. |
Maybe I should just start the elbum at the end and listento the last 4 tracks first?
