Your exact words were "Flea - rocks the funk like no other bass lines". Implying that no other bassist "rocks the funk" (whatever the fuck that means, but I took it to mean "plays funk bass") like no-one else. It was that which I took exception to. I realise the thread was about your favourite bassists and you're entitled to your opinion, but when you start claiming things like that (and whilst I'm here, I may as well point out that Marcus Miller and Victor Wooten aren't bassists in the same vein as Bootsy Collins whatsoever - they occasionally dabble in funk [and shit funk at that], whilst Bootsy is funk) you must expect a response. You quite clearly didn't just say that he "rocks it well" (again, what the fuck does this "rocks" term mean?), you said he "rocks... like no other". You may think I'm being pedantic, but there's a massive difference. And nobody "rocks the funk" like Bootsy Collins my friend.
