I prefer the songwriting on KOL because there are some really beautiful melodies, but I think texturally it is a bit too sparse. Amok has lots of great sound and texture, but the songs all kind of blend together without those strong melodies. The Eraser is the downsides of KOL and Amok mixed together. It's still a decent album, but there are only a couple of really strong tracks and the rest just don't measure up.

Too early to judge Amok, although I like it a lot so far. King Of Limbs is an album that grew a ton on me, and for me it easily takes this poll as of right now.

The King Of Limbs > Eraser
.. Haven't heard Amok. I probably won't for a while.

But Eraser was a boring mess in my opinion... at lest King Of Limbs was somewhat interesting. I have no clue how In Rainbows happened to be released in between those Laughing

The Eraser was played to death in my micro hifi system back in 2006. Although it stripped back instruments and allowed Yorke to sing over a computer, songs like Harrowdown Hill and the title track still have something in them.

And the album art as well is great.

KOL is one of Radiohead's greatest albums (OK Computer/Kid A aside). If you don't like it, you honestly haven't listened to it enough.

Or too much.
