Gotta be the Twin. Although he has a fair amount of material I'm not into.

No room for Orbital, Autechre, Mouse On Mars, Leftfield, Four Tet, Future Sound Of London, Underworld, Hot Chip, Massive Attack or Bjork? Shame.

This, though fortunately Boards of Canada were there.

Wow...the only one of those artists that takes the electronic element of their music seriously is Kraftwerk. Really limited poll.

I voted "other" - Gary Numan not in your list is ridiculous. As is the absence of Depeche Mode - and frankly I'd probably vote for Alan Wilder-era DM as the best electronic artists of all time. He understood what is considered the classical style of electronic music and made some of the most complex and enjoyable electronic backdrops anyone has ever composed. Still at it as a solo artist now, too. Anyway, Depeche Mode was one of the first electronic artists to make widespread use of a sampler, and they really took to it, looking for sounds everywhere they went to turn into music.

Most successful electronic artist ever is Depeche Mode founder Vince Clarke - With Depeche Mode's first album (Speak & Spell), Yazoo (Yaz in the U.S.), his failed attempt at a "guest singer" album with The Assembly (released just one single, never managed to get enough singers for an album), and then for about 25 years with Andy Bell in Erasure, he's got a staggering list of top 40 hits. His fascination with the medium has made him a more passionate electronic musician than almost any other. He reportedly has a collection of synths that one could turn into an electronic museum.

I'd also consider Mike Edwards of Jesus Jones to be better than at least half the artists you list. But not the greatest ever.

I missed Brian Eno in that list, I admit it. Still doesn't change my vote.
