No band made better music out of nonsense lyrics than Pavement. "Here" is my favorite Pavement song and ranks in my top 5 of the 90's. One of the most moving and beautiful songs I've ever heard. But really, this albums full of classics "Zurich is Stained", "Summer Babe (Winter Version)", pretty much every song on the album. Pavement's best album, the best among the 5 masterpieces they released. The defining lo-fi album and pretty much perfect. One of the albums that got me into indie-rock.

I love that you love all their albums, personally I could never get into their last two though.
I'd rank their first 3
Slanted and Enchanted
Wowee Zowee
Crooked Rain, Crooked Rain

This is tied with wowee zowee for favorite pavement album. Also I seem to be alone here, but crooked rain is actually my least favorite of the five. (Though I do enjoy all five)

Pavement is my favorite band and I think this is their best work.
I've been reading that others users tend to enjoy other Pavement albums -- to those who do, I highly recommend the Watery, Domestic EP. It's incredibly good, short and fun indie rock. Give it a spin. _________________ And If a Double Decker Bus, Crashes into us...

Wrong. I wrote home about him. It read something like:
Dear Mother,
There is a singer out there that goes by the name of Jeff Mangum. Avoid that motherfucker at all costs. His voice will make you wish you could have someone there to bury you alive. In case you do fall victim to his voice, and his whole band's music for that matter, the shovel is in the basement behind the water heater.
Sincerely,
Your Only Beloved Son _________________

I was being polite - I'd almost rather be waterboarded than listen to him _________________ <(: @ >
