This album ended up giving me a headache.  Pyramid Song and Knives Out are good tracks, but it didn't work with me overall.

Again, it is a very good and solid piece of work, but if I had to compare it with the rest of their discography (minus Pablo Honey which I haven't listened yet) it is their weakest along The King Of Limbs (and Separator is better than anything in Amnesiac mind you). Hail To The Thief was a mind-blowingly good follow-up though (it should be ranked higher than Amnesiac btw imho), even if it didn't push their sound towards a totally new direction like In Rainbows did. |
Yes, Amnesiac is inferior to Kid A, and both versions of Morning Bell are great but:
1. You and Whose Army sucks and is probably the worst track on the album, and Separator is worse than You and Whose Army.
2. Packt Like Sardines is a contender for the best track.

What are you guys talking about? This is definitely a "Kid B", but only meant as a great continuation. The two morning bells. The two jazz-influenced pieces: "The National Anthem" and "Life in a Glasshouse". The continuing electronic elements. Even Thom Yorke has described it as "another take on Kid A, a form of explanation." (quote found on Wikipedia). I think it's eerie songs like "Pyramid Song", "Dollars & Cents" and "Like Spinning Plates" that makes it my 3rd favourite Radiohead album.
