I heard it a few times a couple years back and didn't think much of it. Gave it another spin a few weeks ago and I really enjoyed it.
It always reminds me of the story that Michael Stipe was listening to this record as a teenager, and whilst he was listening to it he was eating a large bowl of cherries. Once the record had finished he threw up because he'd eaten so many cherries. When he'd finished vomiting he realized that he wanted to use his life to make music.
