I never got this one I'd like to give it another listen, though.

A far better pop album than Thriller, but Thriller remains at my number one pop song.

Let's Go Crazy and When Doves Cry are the ones for me. Feels like he really means what he says on the first track.

Amazing. Love the vocals at the end of "The Beautiful Ones." _________________

Shit, just realised no Prince in the Bea Book
Needless to say this album is flawless. The title track alone is better than most other albums.

The extended version of "I Would Die 4 U" is one of those songs I am dieing to listen to, but I don't think I'll be able to since the single version its on costs a little more than I would like to pay.
Regardless, a masterpiece. "Purple Rain" is the a great example for ranking Prince as one of the greatest guitarists of all time and what more can be said about 'When Doves Cry"? "Lets Go Crazy" is a great opener. I don't know if its his best, but its the Prince album I listen to the most. Prince was really in a class of his own in the 80s.

I own this album, but I've never listened to this. Judging from these comments, I'll make it a priority.

A brilliant soundtrack to a bad movie. Great songs. The attitude of dirty mind finally produced properly and mixed in with some tremendous guitar work. Pop songs, stretched out jams, and some nice Prince filth. And yes, he was the better dancer over MJ. _________________ "Somebody oughta put out the big light because I can't stand to see you this way."
