As far as I was aware (and this isnt my opinion) 1967 was the best year for music in terms of quality and percentage of good albums, Not many if any bad albums came out that year. And the good albums that came out almost universally steal top 10 and 20 albums list anywhere _________________ Having a family is the kind of thing that could be held against a person

According to my own, pretty much faultless, rating system, these are the best years for albums with their top highlights:
1. 1973 (The Wild the Innocent..., Greetings from Asbury Park, Pronounced Leh-Nerd Skin-Nerd, Dark Side of the Moon, Brothers and Sisters)
2. 1971 (At Fillmore East, Santana III, Who's Next, Led Zeppelin IV, Tapestry)
3. 1970 (Kristofferson, Abraxas, Idlewild South, Led Zeppelin III, Paranoid)
4. 1969 (Led Zeppelin II, Abbey Road, Let It Bleed, Santana, Stand!)
5. 1975 (Born to Run, Fandango, Blood on the Tracks, Old No. 1, Red Headed Stranger)
6. 1976 (High Voltage, Dirty Deeds..., Texas Cookin', Destroyer, Rising)
7. 1977 (Never Mind the Bollocks..., Street Survivors, Love Gun, Lust for Life, Let There Be Rock)
8. 1984 (Powerslave, 1984, Born in the USA, Purple Rain, Private Dancer)
9. 1965 (Highway 61 Revisited, Live at the Regal, Rubber Soul, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, Help!)
10. 1972 (Ziggy Stardust, Machine Head, Exile on Main Street, Eat a Peach, Honky Chateau)
And these are the worst years (post the birth of rock & roll):
1961, 2001, 2010, 1993 & 1999.
