This was my favorite album in my teens and early 20s, though it has dropped a bit with age. Of the Beatles albums, I now slightly prefer Sgt. Pepper, but this is still a top 10 all-timer for me. Taxman is one of the best opening tracks of all time, IMO, and most of the other tracks are well above average, even by the Beatles' lofty standards. If I were to nitpick, I would say that the tracks don't mesh as well as most of my other favorite albums, but I give them a pass on that since it was released in 1966.
