It's pretty modest stuff, and pretty old stuff too, but I figured I'd finally bite the bullet and release it to the world.

Anyway I figured you guys would be the best feedback I can get. Tell me your favourite track too so I know what I should set to my default/submit for BEAM.

Also, for anyone interested in buying it's 25¢ a song, $1 for the full EP + an unlisted bonus track.

I'm listening. Commenting now in hope others might listen with me. It's a shame if this is swept away with no comments.

I'm listening now. Didn't even see this topic, apologies Alex. 'Daisy' reminds me of The Wannadies' 'Me and You Song'. Will post more complete thoughts after I've listened to the whole thing.

Hard Time was pleasant. Smile

Let's Go to Japan also had a Neutral Milk Hotel sound.

Shocked

Haha, I'm not offended. It's pretty crappy and thrown-together. I was thinking about trying to record a better one but I don't want to use my better songs unless I can actually have some half-way decent production on them. Embarassed

Interested to see what you guys think is the best track from this thing though.

If you ever find ever decide to be part of a two piece band, find someone with the name 'Gary' to play with. Then do a Bruce Springsteen and have your first and last name as the act name. Cool

"Hard Time" is the most recent song, I made it from some mysterious old lyrics I found around last December. It's the one on here that I actually would consider recording for a real album. Surprised you heard NMH in "Japan." I hadn't even listened to them when I wrote that song (when I was 17, 3 years back now). It was inspired by Weezer more than anything. I wrote it about a crush I had on a girl who liked anime (anime was also something I had yet to find an interest in at the time). The first verse and chorus came to me all at once in the most unusual place. It's perhaps the only song where I wrote the lyrics and melody without so much as picking up an instrument.

Well I sorta started a band last week. I mean I started to start a band. Right now it's a two-piece between me and a drummer who I've jammed with in the past. What's holding me back is trying to find out if this one girl wants to be our bassist or not. She was interested but I haven't been able to talk to her since. Think
