This album marks the beginning of Rush trying to not be bad science fiction writers. It's also the beginning of Geddy Lee singing at a level that won't shatter all of the glass in your house if played too loudly. The first three tracks mark the best three track run of their career. Their most consistent and, to me, their best overall album. _________________ May we all get to heaven

I enjoy 'Limelight' but as whole I think it's pretty dull. I should listen to some of the other Rush albums that get some praise though.
I'd start with Permanent Waves if you haven't heard it already. To me it's nothing like any other Rush album. Its melodies are very solid and the band as a whole just sounds so much more passionate than they usually do (I like Rush for the most part, but I find most of their work to be rather emotionless).

'The Spirit of The Radio' and 'Freewill' are more universal than the big tracks here. Permanent Waves definitely wins in the lyrics department.
