Emphasis mine. One of, not the. But it's awesome, and a landmark for most French artistgs, who will situate for or versus this record, whether or not they want to. Anyway, there are better Gainsbourg albumps, but I perfectly understand (or so I think?) why this is veerybody's favourite.
If you don't know it go listen to this, and amuse yourself guessing who stole him on this track, or whom he stole on that track.

Which is your favorite? I personally lean towards Percussions or Initials B.B. _________________ http://jonnyleather.com

My problem with Percussions is that's a total rip-off. Initials is more of a singles comp. than an actual LP. Anyway, I much prefer 70s Gainsbourg. L'homme à tête de chou and Vu de l'extérieur could be argued to be better than Melody IMO.

One of my favorite albums ever. If the extremely overused term "rock symphony" could be used anywhere, it'd be with this. It takes rock's deep core of rebellion and lust and makes one amazing 28-minute song out of it.

Good to know. I'm generally more familiar with the earlier stuff. Vu de l'extérieur is fantastic though. definitely on the same level at this one _________________ http://jonnyleather.com
