I had actually never listened to this until today, and all I can think is holy shit, this is great. There's still that Interpol sound, but with Antics, it feels moodier somehow, bordering on downright somber. Yet, at the same time, it's still really sinister and brooding. These songs are just so beautifully crafted that I positively adore some of these. It's not as consistent as Turn on the Bright Lights, per se, but Antics is certainly more dynamic, and some of these songs just get right at you, particularly the first half, which is just an amazing set of songs. There's not a bad track to be had, and they all work well with one another. Terrifically underrated album.
