What's wrong with a "blend of sound alike tunes"? Not defending GNR, so much as defending blends of sound alike tunes. Albums I enjoy that are blends of sound alike tunes: Crazy for You by Best Coast, What I Want from You is Sweet by Orion Rigel Domisse, my favourite bloody album Cross Paths by The Motifs, etc.
Anywho, most of the ones already stated. Pretty much any radio pop that tries to reduce the fun factor. Like, that stuff they call adult contemporary. Yuck. I want my pop to be fun.

Ah, yes, the Metric album I've listened to is incredibly MotR. And agree about the fact that adult contemporary is terrible. Probably the worst kind of well-selling music indeed.

I don't think there is anything wrong about it actually... I should have been more precise. I think what I meant is, it's a boring blend of sound alike tunes when the artist/band tries to have his/their songs to sound different when it's not the case ... Although, records like What's Going On or Loveless (which I praise a lot) are like this too but I think Gaye/Shields didn't try to make pretentious hard rock bullshit music so it may not apply to him... Damn Brandon, you made me think about it ... I need to re-think this now ... _________________ That's right, I'm an Asshole
