Used to be the biggest Daft Punk freak when I was 11 or 12. I've always preferred Homework. I'd probably put this just above RAM, which is WAY above Human After All.

The album is a dance masterpiece, and none of their other work has come close. Daft punk have a unique, beautiful sound. This is their best album by far

Wanted to have a relisten before I commented on this. Discovery always struck me as an album in which Daft Punk were purposely trying to outdo themselves from their debut. Nothing wrong with this, in fact it's an infectious and fun album, but it always struck me as they were trying too hard. Putting the four recognizable "hits" from the very beginning kind of shows this (I'm also probably in the minority thinking that One More Time is a horrible song). The strength in Daft Punk's early work though is their instrumentals and my god are there some amazing moments in this album (Voyager, Aerodynamic and Crescendolls). The over auto tuned vocals are an interesting feature to debate on this album though. On one hand, they come in with meaningless lyrics that would make even Rebecca Black cringe... on the other hand, Daft Punk uses autotune like an instrument, focusing more on how they can glitch the sound to make it part of the music and for that I can't really fault it.

7.5-8/10

I struggle with Daft Punk over the course of a whole album tbh, but they're pretty dope in small doses.
