Thanks! As I've said, as I guy who grew up in the 70' s and 80's my music taste is skewered that direction, but I've learned so much since joining this site.

Sure thing. There is nothing wrong with loving the classics. My favorite music of all time is some 300+ years old...

Ha! No monster, I'm far from it. I just have a problem with comments that don't make any sense or aren't helpful at all. To say your taste sucks or my taste is better than your taste is just ridiculous. We all love music in some way or another that is why we are here, isn't it? I can take criticism, it's going to take more than someone hiding behind a keyboard to rattle me. Just make it useful criticism.
I see a bunch of Jack Blacks in Hi Fidelity sitting behind their keyboard criticizing everyone's taste that isn't the same as theirs.
I'm here to get recs and learn about as much different music as possible and not be so close minded as some seem to be. I admit I love 60s, 70s and 80s rock but that is what I grew up listening to. I also love pop power, prog rock, Motown, classical and jazz.
And I'm learning more about 90s, 00s and 10s music now. I'm not so quick to dismiss others' tastes if it doesn't line up with mine. I enjoy this place and I've picked up at least 400 new albums in the last 9 months or so that I would never have heard had it not been for this site. So I love this place!
