The album is out (since a while now) and it's not bad at all. Can't compare to the stuff they did in their prime, but well worth the price of admission.

Iron Maiden is still a great band. Live and in the studio. Bruce Dickinson's voice is not what it was 25 years ago but he's still well above average. I've not really listened to The Final Frontier a great deal yet, but it is, like all of Maiden's newer albums, a grower.

Right now I would say it ranks #11 out of Iron Maiden's 15 albums. One thing I've noticed over the years with Maiden is that there are a lot more lyrics per song. Now that's not a bad thing because the lyrics are as good as ever IMO. But it does change the dynamics of the overall feel of the songs.

If I were to recommend an Iron maiden album from 2000 or newer it would be Brave New World. It's the best Iron Maiden album of the last 23 years. going back to Seventh Son Of A Seventh Son.
