I'm pretty sure...
I think I'll go home and mull this over,
Before I cram it down my throat.
At long last it's crashed,
Its colossal mass,
Has broken up into bits in my moat."
...is my favorite opening to an album.

For the longest time I really didn’t care for these guys but recently they finally clicked for some reason and I’ve gotten out of my hatred hole for The Shins (though I’ve always liked Flake Music, the precursor band) so yeah. Pretty consistent band though.

whoa what. I just started listening to this what are the odds.
But ya its obviously great. Go to summer music for me. I still think I like this more than Wincing the Night Away but i really cant be sure. If someone said The Shins were the best indie band id have no problem with that.

Not overshadowed by New Slang which is easily one of the best songs of the early 00's. The rest is pretty damn great. Anything from relaxing catchy songs to just plain out fun ones can be found on this album which is a particularly great attribute to find in any album.

I've listened to it a few times and it did absolutely nothing for me. Strange, because I do love Chutes Too Narrow a lot. This one just seemed so plain and uneventful. It's due for a re-listen though, it may totally have been a mood thing at the time.

One of my favorite albums of all time and will likely be in my chart if I ever get off my ass and start writing notes again.
