To the OP, I have the OPPOSITE problem with my chart. It's not that I don't listen to post-2000's music-I do. And I like a lot of it. But not much of it is what I would consider GREAT when compared to older stuff. You can check out my chart (not posting a link to it) if you like...OR look through some of the decade charts.

Honestly, at 13 my tastes had pretty limited range. I was pretty much exclusively into metal. I find that's fairly typical. It takes time to develop your tastes, but if you keep an open mind you can discover all kinds of stuff you previously never would have listened to. I used to HATE country music...and now I listen to a lot of it.

Another suggestion is to trace back the influences of your favourite artists. If your favourite artists dug these guys....then you probably will too. That's how I became a blues fan.
