The album has good points and bad points. Worst point for me is I bought it on vinyl and, no longer having a record player, haven't listened to it in 15 years Laughing

My favorite album by one of my favorite bands. They branched out and challenged their fans while Vedder came into his own as a songwriter. In my top 10 of all time.

This. It's probably their second best record after Ten, but that's not really saying a whole lot. In the end, Pearl Jam were a good, but not great classic rock band. Their music will not withstand the test of time I suspect, and I personally have given up on trying to figure out why they were ever deemed special in the first place.

You had to be there, I guess.

I definitely see what you mean by this. Pearl Jams' tri-guitar attack sounds very samey in this current era of music because it has been copied endlessly by other mainstream rock bands but I definitely can see why "Ten" and "Vitalogy" could have been received so well upon release. What's weird though is that I actually really enjoy their record "Yield" much more than any of their canonized classics. Think
