The album has good points and bad points. Worst point for me is I bought it on vinyl and, no longer having a record player, haven't listened to it in 15 years _________________ <(: @ >
My favorite album by one of my favorite bands. They branched out and challenged their fans while Vedder came into his own as a songwriter. In my top 10 of all time.
This. It's probably their second best record after Ten, but that's not really saying a whole lot. In the end, Pearl Jam were a good, but not great classic rock band. Their music will not withstand the test of time I suspect, and I personally have given up on trying to figure out why they were ever deemed special in the first place.

I definitely see what you mean by this. Pearl Jams' tri-guitar attack sounds very samey in this current era of music because it has been copied endlessly by other mainstream rock bands but I definitely can see why "Ten" and "Vitalogy" could have been received so well upon release. What's weird though is that I actually really enjoy their record "Yield" much more than any of their canonized classics.
