Some of the early Beatles are underrated. Please Please Me,With The Beatles and Beatles for Sale.Of course when compared to what came after those albums would seem ordinary and however i had listen to ton of other pop albums from the 60's and few of them are as memorable and enjoyable to listen to
Why don't you go ahead and mention Revolver as well while you're at it
Actually, I might have called For Sale underrated myself but it is only so when compared to the acclaim the rest of their discography gets. Otherwise it's actually rated as it should be; and the other Beatles albums are overrated.

My perception that those albums are underrated is coming from these acclaimed music chart circles.I should have prefaced that.E.g albums like ITAOTS might be highly rated on here and rym.But it don't have the same recognition outside indie sites. So those early Beatles albums are like the opposite of that.
I think The Who's 60s releases are not only underrated, but also way better than 70s ones. "My Generation", "The Who Sell Out" and "A Quick One" is a fantastic trilogy. While their 70s releases are more redundant and serious, these ones are ironic, funny, and also have a greater historical value.
