Easily the best Manics albums of the new millennium, but admittedly that isn't saying an awful lot (although I do have a soft spot for Send Away the Tigers, if only because it's actually fun). Seen as the "spiritual sequel to The Holy Bible" that this was advertised as, it comes up short, but taken on its own merits it's a damn fine album from a band who had all but forgotten how to make good albums. I still think the production is a little tame and radio-friendly given the themes and content here, but it still rocks compared to some of their other limp efforts. It's cool, the only Manics album outside of the first three (well, the first one and the third one) that I ever revisit.

One of the best albums I ever heard! Probably the pop album more dark I know, that songs have a emotional side so deep!
