Yeah, I definitely need to check them out. Most of those songs I really liked on first listen. I will probably check out Damnation, hopefully soon. They sound better than I though, so I thank you for this.

As for some Kamelot songs:

(One of the better live songs I have heard.)

(This is actually three songs. Well one, seperated into three parts.)

If you are looking for albums, I would suggest Epica and The Black Halo. They are both concept albums, with a continuing story.

Already a fan of Opeth Smile

Also those are some awesome electronica examples. I really like the dark stuff. I only just remembered, Steven Wilson actually has an electronica album!

haha limewax is a notorious dark dark drum and bass producer/dj more funny than anything but yeah some of the tunes aren't bad Razz

and I actually probably like mau5's 2nd album better.. what's it called fml? or something but that first album i listened to soooo much when it came out, and it shaped the way a little so thats why that featured instead..

I like that secnd Steven Wilson tune, he's a good songwriter, but better at prog imo Razz do you like anathema?

haha I didn't mind those Kamelot tunes, although honestly they reminded me of Lacuna Coil when she started singing haha ;s

Is that an insult or a compliment? Simone Simons(female singer in The Haunting) is not part of Kamelot, she just guest appears in some songs. So it's not a duel lead singer band like Lacuna Coil. Other than that, I don't really see a strong similarity between the two bands.

I'm fucking bored of the same old shit. I bet some of you are like me and listen to your own little bands over and over and don't really break out of your own circle.

Anyway recommend me some shit, maybe this can turn into a general recommendation thread.

In terms of electronic stuff, I recommend the re-issue of Harold Grosskopf's 'Synthesist'. For proggy stuff, 'Love Kraft' by the Super Furry Animals is underrated by a lot of people.
