Like listening to an effing ghost. One of the most moving music experiences in my life. I couldn't stop crying.

Even in this incomplete form, one of the greatest records ever made. My favorite track is the solo piano demo of "Surf's Up", easily one of Brian Wilson's best vocal performances

Good Vibrations is the greatest single ever made. Smile gives you context for it. Knowing it was the last track, the whole album seemed to be building up to that amazing song. Finally, the song came on, almost exactly like I remember it (a few bars were added in the middle to fit it a little better into the album). It was beautiful.

Some brilliant stuff, a lot of sections that feel unfinished, some fluff, and a bit of suck.

At first, a found it needed quite a few listens before I could appreciate it. But eventually, all the incredible melodies start seeping in, and you suddenly realize just how brilliant, and overall refreshing, this piece of work is.

This is what I slowly learned throughout the album.
