This album is some dark shit. If anything it reminds me of Mr Bungle's 'California'. Very happy to see it at #2.

Sad to see none of the albums I voted for make it, but I'm not surprised. My only shot was hoping that Graeme, Secondsoul, and myself would push Twilight Sad's in at like 10.

Honestly, I'm betting this for number 1:

Run The Jewels 2 by Run The Jewels

but I'm picking a bit of an underdog there, I know. That would keep the "albums I didn't hear or thought weren't great" theme going with one I've not heard, whereas I thought Pinata was very good. Rooting for pinata (or by some miracle Twilight Sad but there's NO way), but I'm thinking RTJ2 takes it.

Outside of RTJ2, these are the other albums I think, realistically, could get it:

To Be Kind by Swans

Piñata by Freddie Gibbs & Madlib

St. Vincent by St. Vincent

You're Dead! by Flying Lotus

Though I also think it wouldn't be too outlandish if Salad Days, Sun Structures, They Want My Soul, Here and Nowhere Else, or even Everyday Robots snuck in there. My guess is that all of those were top 25, at least, and some probably floating JUST outside of the top 10. This is exciting, though, I'm enjoying this even more than I thought I would!

My bet is on Pinata. It's not exactly been a list of my personal favourites, but it's an interesting list nonetheless. Would love to see more about how people voted afterwards (particularly interested in how the negative points have been awarded)...

Actually, yeah. Sp4cetiger, could you calculate who got the deepest into the negatives?

Hey, pom pom made the cut! Very cool, I feel like I should give this another spin soon, I remember really liking it at the time, probably my favorite Ariel Pink release. Weird and psychy fun with sinister undertones. Mixed 60s psych pop nostalgia with modern concerns and inanities. Good album.

Almost 100% sure that Pinata will take the last spot, which I'm cool with, though I'm hoping Benji will somehow push through. At the very least I hope it won't be RTJ2.

Cool, I have this just outside my top 10 I think, but I still really enjoyed it. It has it's weak moments but overall it's the perfect combination of wacky and poppy. Hopefully Pinata will take its rightful place at #1

Last one's gonna be Benji for sure.

I want you to be right, but at the same time, I can imagine that it got enough backlash from other users that it didn't make it.
