This album is fucking great but I'm firmly entrenched in the Pink Flag camp. There's something so compelling and utterly individual to that album, it's really just conceptually brilliant. Chairs Missing does have what might be my favorite Wire song though in Outdoor Miner, which is about as good as jangly post-punk gets outside of Orange Juice.
I love this one, it's one of my favorite post-punk albums and 70s rock albums (as well as Pink Flag and 154). Songs like Marooned and Outdoor Miner are among my favorites of all time.
Also I am mesmerized by my own beat like a hobbit like a hobbit LIKE A HOBBIT LIKE A HOBBIT
HOW COULD I FORGET ABOUT THIS ALBUM! It got me through some tough times (of all albums, this). It's nothing like Pink Flag at all, really, and that's probably why i can't pick a favorite..
