Can't not like Voodoo Chile of course, but I doubt it's THE best.

There are so many that it is really impossible to name but one, but if I had a knife to my throat I'd have to put my vote on Hallowed Be Thy Name by Maiden. Seven minutes of sheer beauty.

Depending on how you define Hard Rock, either:

    Led Zeppelin-Stairway to Heaven-1971
    or
    The Kinks-You Really Got Me-1964

Pre-2000: The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again
Post-2000: The White Stripes - Seven Nation Army

Voodoo Chile and Voodoo Child are both outstanding songs in their own right though.

Yeah Stairway would take a popularity vote, But I prefer Black Dog, such an awesome song, I don't know anyone who doesn't like it. I never even thought about Voodoo Chile' I'll have to give it another listen

I don't like Black Dog. I think it's trash.

Seconded. I love Zep but can't take this song.

As for best hard rock song. It has got to be Wind of Change by The Scorpions.

Uff. You're saying that the best hard rock has to show for itself is a power ballad?
