Album of the day (#1732): A Rush Of Blood To The Head

One of the first "good" (under my perception) albums I listened to, so it's quite special for me. I still like it. I find it the best from Coldplay. I'll also do track picks for once:

This album is so special for me. It's the album that actually got me music. Back then when I was just listening to the Backstreet Boys and N'sync, this album came to me as a Christmas present and changed everything.
Thirteen years after I still love it. Every track. Greatest album from coldplay.

I hated Coldplay for a long time but recently, I've realized that they were a good band. Yeah, on their first two albums they didn't really do anything different or outstanding compared to other similar bands of the time but Coldplay were better songwriters. This album has a lot of good songs on it, especially Politik, The Scientist, and the last two tracks. Contrary to popular opinion, I actually think that both halves of the album are equally good. I put this album slightly behind Parachutes, with both way behind Viva la Vida, the only Coldplay album that I love. I feel like on that album, they had the most unique and interesting sound of any of their albums as the incorporated interesting and well composed instrumentation and different musical styles. I think that VLV is very unfairly overlooked. This album and Parachutes are still very enjoyable and Coldplay get way too much underserved hate.
