Apparently this album is very Joycean. I appreciate that side of the album much more than the costumes and time signatures.

I have an original pressing I got from a Phoenix, Arizona radio station. Been meaning to clean it before I lay it on the turntable.

I really love a lot of this album, some of Phil's best drumming, some remarkable lyrical content from Gabriel too, but I've always thought that if disc two was able to hold my attention anywhere close to the way that the first disc does, this album would be an all time great. Most of the time I only listen to the first disc and I don't usually like to do that with albums.
It's a tough fucking son of a bitch of a listen though. _________________ Attention all planets of the solar federation: We have assumed control.

we would never have gotten Spinal Tap without The Lamb. as noted previously, the second disc does not hold up to the first disc at all. The band was all but broken up before the album was even released, so it's not too much of a surprise how inconsistent it is, but there are moments of absolute greatness. _________________ follow me on the bandcamp.
