I think this is one of the greatest rock albums ever made period. The opener and closer are obviously the highlights, but the songs in between still fill in so many blanks musically about these dark souls.

A bit frustrating that I can't speak French so that I could understand the story a bit better. Musically, though, it is pretty cool and chill.

It is telling the story of Melody Nelson, a young (very) sexy red head girls that is meeting a man (Gainbourg) that he know down here driving its Roll's. They quickly fall in love and Melody is pure (...) He bring her in a hotel to make make her discover the ....
Finally see come back to home by plane and plane disappear with Melody and Gainsbourg love inside.
