I don't have many physical albums, but the most I've heard from one artist would be the Grateful Dead, cause I've heard a shit ton of their live albums (I even have a chart for it). Though they have a lot that I haven't heard. _________________ 2023 Chart

I remember reading a shirt of theirs that was like 10,000 songs, 1,000 albums or and 1 great band or something ridiculous like this (saw the shirt long time ago.
So I copied that into Excel... 781 lines. So probably something like 750 releases. (I didn't delete the years, so I just subtracted 30 lines for the years (estimate of course).

And more keep getting released. They released four more live albums this year as well as two more volumes of Dave's Picks _________________ 2023 Chart

So the Dead T-Shirt my brother has isn't far off...
He saw them something like 3 times before Mr. Garcia passed on.
Dylan for me by a longshot. I've got them all except the newest one (if it's out yet - I heard about it on Facebook like two weeks ago) and the one from 73 or 74 that was never released on CD. This also includes all the collabs with The Band, both Traveling Wilburys albums, two tribute albums, all the Bootleg series, even Greatest Hits 1-3 and The Essential... None of the cheap $5 compilations you see on Wal Mart shelves for lots of artists though.
I've got a lot of Nick Cave: 18 with the Bad Seeds, 7 with Birthday Party (or Boys Next Door), 2 Grinderman and 2 soundtrack albums. So that's 29 for him as a whole. That's probably like half the Dylan total though.
I don't think anyone else has 20 albums in my collection although John Lennon (if you include Beatles), David Bowie, Neil Young, Judas Priest and the Grateful Dead gotta be damn close.
It should also be noted that I converted my CD collection to mp3 a while back and sold them all. I've gathered a few since then and have a hundred or so vinyl records. So if we're only talking about physical copies that I can actually touch, Nick Cave wins with like 24, 31 if you count the ones I have on both CD and vinyl. Dylan is probably second with just 6 vinyl.
