It's become de rigueur to rag on The Eagles - how long before it becomes passé? if ever? - but they really are shit.

I think what especially makes them an endless target is that Don Henley is a total prick.

I like it, well I liked it that one time I listened to it

But it hasn't really remained as being much in my life

So I guess it's okay, not the worst thing ever

Pretty spot on. I mean the music itself is very average. Some good songs, mainly a bunch of bores. But Don Henley just has this total ego maniac vibe that rubs me the wrong way. And his solo career sucked.

I'm one of those people who actually really likes The Eagles cause I'm weird like that.

Hotel California is probably my favorite Eagles album, it best exemplified what Joe Walsh brought to the group as a guitarist and it's just such a well done album. Despite the fact that the majority of these songs have been played absolutely to death just about everywhere, I still love them, and when overplaying happens, I try to think about them in a vacuum. The title track is awesome, New Kid In Town is great, Life In The Fast Lane, Victim Of Love, all some of the best Eagles tracks out there.

Sorry to bring this topic back but I am amazed to see so much Eagles hate. I am by no means an Eagles fan but I do enjoy this album. Hotel California overplayed? I can understand that opinion, but I find it so catchy and with such a good guitar ending that I don't mind it at all. New kid in town also deserves recognition. The rest is fine.

Major burnout factor on this one. At this point, all I can still listen to is New Kid in Town, Wasted Time, and Victim of Love.
