On my first listen of Bergtatt – Et eeventyr i 5 capitler a while ago, I really disliked it. I only really liked the first and fourth track on it. Then again, it was my first black metal album so I didn't know what to expect. After exposing myself to more black metal, I returned to this and, surprisingly, I found myself enjoying this a lot more on the second listen.

Heartwork started out very strongly, but then it became too exhausting and everything started to blend in with each other. It's a good album and I really admired what the band does here, pulling out every guitar trick to give life to these elaborate songs, but there's only so much I can take in before it gets too monotonous.

Alright! Internet bill is paid, Wi-Fi has returned, time to get caught up! Started with the first match of two albums I've already heard before. Of course I nominated Bergtatt and was already familiar enough with Heartwork to be pretty sure who I was voting for. Nothing against Carcass, and this is their best album, but Bergtatt is my absolute favorite BEA-recommended metal album ever (although this tournament already has and likely will again find some competition for that title).
